Shooting On Film
So, after some hunting around for the right camera for me, I got a Minolta SR-T 101. It looks like this:
I was convinced to buy this particular camera because a) it was very affordable and b) I found multiple articles extolling the wonder of one of the lenses that goes with it - the Minolta MC 58mm f1.4 Rokkor-PF Lens, supposedly one of the most beautiful (cheap) film lenses to shoot on:
I love shooting on 50mm prime lenses on digital - that’s been my main lens since I first started shooting digital - so I bought both and ordered the cheapest film possible for my first test shoots: Fujifilm Fujicolor Superia 400 and Kodak ColorPlus 200.
It took me about 3 months to go through 4 rolls - it’s tough for me to find opportunities to shoot shoot film footage just for fun - but finally between a trip to the beach and another the Houston Rodeo, I got through enough exposures to send in the rolls to get developed.
I got the photos back today, let’s take a look!
Okay. So we’ve still got some work to do.
